Earlier, after a delay of almost an hour due to rain, KL Rahul and Faf du Plessis made their way to the pitch and Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and elected to bowl first.

LSG made two huge changes to the playing XI as Jason Holder and Krishnappa Gowtham were replaced by Krunal Pandya and Dushmantha Chameera. On the other hand, RCB made just a solitary change to the playing XI as Mohammed Siraj replaced Siddharth Kaul.

Left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan got the first breakthrough for LSG in the first over itself by dismissing RCB captain Faf du Plessis on the 5th ball of the over for a golden duck.

After losing the wicket of skipper, Rajat Patidar and Virat Kohli batted brilliantly and at the end of the powerplay, RCB were at 52/1 with Patidar at 33 and Kohli at 18.

In the end, Rajat Patidar smashed an exceptional century and Dinesh Karthik played a terrific knock to help RCB score 207/4.
