The IPL has been an incredible platform over the years for young batters and bowlers to make an impact in the league and impress one and all. Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh, and Mohsin Khan are some of the names who have impressed this season and will be playing for India in times to come.
Rahul Tripathi is another name who has been performing consistently in the IPL for several years now and waiting for his chance to don the India colours. Another name that made a mark in this year’s IPL was Rajat Patidar after he scored an unbeaten 112 in the IPL 2022 Eliminator against LSG and became the owned the fastest century by an uncapped player in the IPL. In this article, we take a look at 5 youngest players to hit an IPL ton.
5 Youngest Uncapped Players To Smash A Century In IPL History
1) Rajat Patidar – 28 Years
Patidar scored his first IPL ton at the age of 28 years and ranks fifth in this elite list. His knock of 112 of 49 balls at Eden Gardens included 12 fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of over 200. It can be very well said that his knock single-handedly was enough to take RCB to Qualifier 2 as LSG fell 14 behind in the end. Interestingly, Patidar skipped his marriage to join the RCB squad after he was called in as a replacement.
